Single view of a child

Over an extended period, we provided the SME support and guidance to a London local authority’s internal information management function to help them overhaul the systems, data and processes that support core children’s social work operations and front-line practice. We helped write the specification, full business case and design of a new Single View of the Child business intelligence reporting and predictive analysis tool that has the potential to deliver a significant ROI over a 5 year payback period by driving work effort to more proactive and preventative case working for professionals that work with vulnerable families. The key to successful take-up has been early and regular communication and engagement with staff that will actually use the system in order to make a difference to the work they do.
