Deep-dive service reviews and performance assessment
We have undertaken a number of focussed pieces of work that are primarily in response to poor Ofsted or inspection ratings that has led to an urgent need to improve outcomes.
- We led a diagnostic analysis of inadequate performance into Home Counties local authority, on behalf of the Children’s Minister and the Department for Children, Schools and Families and helped support a process of change management and leadership alignment to kick-start improvement in Social Care and other services. We led and delivered the presentation to the DCSF Children’s Ministers and recommended what action the Government should take to drive improvement across and within the Council.
- We managed the development of a Quality Assurance Framework for Children’s Social Care and Health in South Yorkshire local authority in order to embed a culture of continuous improvement and change to support improvement from a low performance base.
- Our team designed and managed the framework for identifying ideas/opportunities through to producing business cases for a significant efficiency transformation programme an East Midlands local authority. This involved extensive stakeholder management including the DCS, his senior leadership team and the 25+ senior managers. Our work identified circa £30M of savings that represented over 28% of base budget and was core to securing a broader Corporate savings target that was otherwise deemed unachievable.
